Argh, WE-TV won’t let me in though I’m registered so I can’t leave a comment. #2 and #3 were born at home and those were the two best experiences of my life. I think your angry commentator who is opposed to homebirth is just scared. I understand why but our experience in the hospital was so much more risky and awful than being at home. Also, a good midwife won’t hesitate to take you to the hospital if anything goes wrong (and have a prearranged agreement with them). I had an OB at my third birth who had never been at or experienced a homebirth. She was there as my friend. I think the experience really changed her mind about how amazing and safe homebirth can be… Thanks for writing about this Meagan, you totally rock.
